More about Lenòre Anderson
Lenore meaning “bright light” could sing in tune before she could speak. She is the youngest of five siblings who share a love for music. She grew up in Kuils River outside Cape Town and made her stage debut when she was nine, at her sister’s wedding. The first song she ever wrote was ‘Start All over Again’ at the age of sixteen.
She had vocal training at school and sang in the school choir throughout her school years. She taught herself to play the guitar when she was sixteen, and gives the credit to the Holy Spirit who is the ultimate teacher. In 2013 she had the opportunity to minister in the USA in 2013 whilst on a life changing church trip, where she sang her first original song on multiple platforms.
In 2015, she was part of Neville D’s choir for his Beauty of Difference concert and live recording. In 2018, she made a simple recording of a new song she’d written, namely, ‘I Deny Myself’. The recording reached gospel singer, Shalane Haywood and MiracleSquared, who contacted her and gave her the opportunity to record her debut single. She released ‘I Deny Myself’ in October 2019. The song made it to the final stage at the WSA (World Songwriters Awards), “Best Gospel Song” category, and later took the No.1 place on Awakening Gospel Radio.
More about Start All Over Again
“This song is about new beginnings. Its for when you failed God at some point and you struggle to forget your past or move forward. God is with you, waiting for you to realize that His arms are open wide, and that He is so forgiving. He wants you to reach out and admit that you’ve failed so that He can step in. He’s waiting for you to make the choice and start all over again. He wants to help you fix whatever is broken in your life. He wants you to know that He’s greater that your circumstances. And He always has a plan! Enjoy!” – Lenòre
